OUR CARS

In 2005 we started bashing in an ex-Victoria Bash car which was a 1964 EH Holden with a 3 speed manual box and drum brakes. It's allure was the Batman theme and it had the wings and fins to match. With a few mods of adding a HR disc brake front end and a 4 speed Aussie gearbox it was an adequate Bash Car (although extremely dusty). With the onset of rust and metal fatigue due to the number of Bash's it had been in, it became evident that retirement was imminent.

In 2009 we sourced a white 1966 Dodge Phoenix lowered wedding car and turned it into the New Batmobile. It was dust resistant, roomy, airconditioned and had a couple of extra cylinders to push it along. We added wings, chrome wheels, and a batphone to call the commissioner.

Over the next few years sidesteps were added, followed by bling, suspension mods, larger wheels and tyres.

They say it takes a few years to build a good bash car from scratch. They were right!
